Energizing Spirulina Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 well-ripened banana
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 teaspoon Good Routine® Wellness Foods Organic Spirulina
  • 200 ml coconut water or plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia or flax seeds
  • 2–3 ice cubes, optional
  • Lemon juice, optional

Step-by-step preparation

  • 1. Prepare the fruit
  • Peel the banana and cut it into pieces. Wash the apple, remove the core, and cut it into cubes.
  • 2. Add the liquid to the blender
  • Pour the coconut water or plant-based milk into the blender. Adding the liquid first helps achieve a more even blend.
  • 3. Add the fruit
  • Add the banana and apple on top of the liquid.
  • 4. Add the spirulina
  • Add 1 teaspoon of Organic Spirulina. At first, you can use a smaller amount if you prefer a milder taste.
  • 5. Add the seeds
  • Add the chia or flax seeds for texture and extra fiber.
  • 6. Blend
  • Blend for 30–45 seconds, until you get a smooth, creamy texture.
  • 7. Adjust the taste
  • For a fresher note, add a few drops of lemon juice and blend for another 5 seconds.
  • 8. Serve immediately
  • Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy right away.
